  • Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic
  • Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal

Euro 2012 Teams

Defending champions Spain head into the tournament looking to retain the title they won back in 2008. Managed by Vicente del Bosque, Spain are widely considered the best team in the world, and it comes as no suprise that they are most people's favourites to win. However, they will face stiff competition from Germany who are always a threat in major tournaments, while Holland, France and Italy will also be gunning for glory.

England, so often underachievers in major tournaments, will be looking to prove that they can at last channel the huge expectation and pressure into positive energy in what will be Fabio Capello's final bow as manager. The Three Lions have assembled a decent combination of youth and experience but the absence of star player Wayne Rooney for the first  two matches could ultimately prove costly.

Portugal, Russia and Greece are all a threat on their day, as are Sweden and co-hosts Poland and Ukraine who will both be looking to put on a strong performance on home soil.

European Championship Odds

Euro 2012 will be the 14th European Championships since the tournament was first played in 1960 in France. Spain are the warm favourites in the Euro 2012 Odds to retain their title and win what would be their third major tournament in succession.

As always Germany feature strongly in the betting as do rivals Holland. Both countries have fallen victim to Spain in major tournament finals of late and will be desperate to go one step better this time round. France and Italy are also in contention, while England and Portugal will be hoping to add their name to the list of European Championship Winners.
