Austria Euro 2012 Odds
Austria have only ever qualified for the European Championships once before and that was in 2008 thanks to automatic qualification as a result of being the co-hosts of the tournament with Switzerland. They had their work cut out from the start when they were defeated 1-0 by Germany and ended up finishing third in Group B will just a solitary point.
They were placed in Qualifying Group A but failed to qualify for the major finals next summer after finishing in a disappointing fourth. Austria got off to a good start with 7 points from their opening three games. However, they went on to lose four matches on the spot to rupture their chances of qualification.
Key player
If Austria are to spring any sort of surprise for Euro 2012, they will have to work collectively as a team and play to the best of their ability rather than any relying on just one star player.
