Czech Republic Euro 2012 Odds
The Czech Republic have an excellent record of qualifying for the European Championship and performing well once there. They secured their place in the Finals after beating Montenegro 3-0 in the play-offs.
Michal Bilek's men have been placed in Euro 2012 Group A alongside co-hosts Poland, 2004 winners Greece and Russia. Their first match is against group favourites Russia in Wroclaw on Friday 8th June.
In Euro 96 they were beaten in the final by Germany and more recently they were beaten in the semi finals of Euro 2004. However, they were disappointing at the 2006 World Cup, failing to progress beyond the first round. This poor form followed them into Euro 2008, where they failed to get past the group stage. This also marked the end of head coach Karel Bruckner time with the team.During 2009 the Czech Republic said goodbye to three managers before Michal Bilek took over.
They left it late to qualify for the Euro 2012 Play Offs in Group I after they left it down to their final game to pip Scotland to second place.
Thanks to their good form in past tournaments and favourable draw the Czech Republic have good value Euro 2012 Odds of around 50/1 to win the Championship.
Key Players
Goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea will be a hard man to beat. Up front they have Milan Baros who has an impressive record of 39 goals in 86 appearances for his country.
