France Euro 2008 Odds

Twice Euro Champions France are undoubtedly one of the pre tournament favourites to win Euro 2008. Many people questioned France’s ability to sustain the kind of form they showed when winning the World Cup in 1998 and Euro 2000, however, getting to the World Cup final in 2006 showed that this team are still capable of making an impact on the big stage. They have won over half of their European Championship games and lost only 5 but they are in the toughest Euro 2008 group and will not be able to afford to add a 6th competition loss if they are to progress in to the knockout stages.

At 8/1 odds to Win Euro 2008 France could represent very good value but the fact they must get out of a group including Italy and Holland would suggests it is no guaranteed that they will reach the knockout stages from Group C.
