Greece Euro 2012 Team Chances
Greece stunned the football world in 2004 when they became European Champions after defeating host nation Portugal 1-0 in the Final. Greece had pre-tournament odds of 100/1 as they sprung the biggest shock in European Championship History. They were unable to repeat this success in Euro 2008, losing all three games as they finished bottom of their group.
Greece were placed in Euro 2012 Group A with co-hosts Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic. Fernando Santos' men drew 1-1 with Poland in the tournament's opening match. They were then defeated by Czech Republic 2-1 meaning they went into their last game against group favourites Russia needing a win. Against the odds they managed to upset their opponents and sneak a win and finishing runners-up to Czech Republic in Group A.
