Euro 2008 Group D Betting
Whilst Spain and Sweden are two bookmakers’ favourites to progress from Group C in Euro 2008, both Russia and Greece are more than capable of upsetting the odds, as Greece proved when winning Euro 2004 at pre tournament odds of 100/1. Spain are frequently criticised as being perennial underachievers in major international tournaments and will be looking to make a big impression during Euro 2008 whilst Russia may well be the dark horse of the tournament under coach Guss Hiddink.
Spain should have the quality to win this group with ease whilst the second spot is wide open and can be taken by any of the three other remaining Group D teams.
