Euro 2012 Group Draw
The 16 teams playing in the European Championship have been split into a total of four groups, with four teams in each group (A – D).
Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic
Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal
Group C: Spain, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Croatia
Group D: Ukraine, Sweden, France, England
The opening match of the tournament will be between Poland and Greece on 8th June 2012 at the National Stadium, Warsaw.
There are a total of six games played in each group, with each team playing three games, against the other three teams in the group. The teams who finish first and second in each group progress to the Quarter-Finals of the championships, from which stage the tournament adopts a knockout format.
