Holland have only won the tournament once through, back in 1988 with what is widely considered as one of the greatest sides in international history.

Head coach Bert van Marwijk has turned the squad into one of most formidable teams in the world, taking them to the finals of World Cup 2010 where they were beaten 1-0 by Spain.

The Netherlands have been placed in Euro 2012 Group B, which has been described as the 'Group of Death' as it also includes Germany, Portugal and Denmark. They kick-off their campaign against the group underdogs Denmark on Saturday 9th June at the Metalist Stadium.

The Netherlands were very impressive in qualification, winning nine of their ten matches in Group E. Holland are one of the favourites to do well in the finals and they are currently priced at around 8/1 to win Euro 2012.

Holland have an attacking line-up that strikes fear in even the most seasoned defences. They were the top goalscorers in qualification, netting an impressive 37 goals. Their most pivotal player is arguably Inter Milan's Wesley Sneijder, who shone during World Cup 2010, alongside Robin van Persie and Rafael van der Vaart.
