Italy Euro 2008 Odds

Despite being one of the best known names in International football and current World Cup champions, Italy have struggled to be consistent performers at the Euro Championships over the years. Since winning the Euros on home soil in 1968, Italy have only made it to the semi finals on three occasions, with the most recent en route to a final defeat at the hands of France in Euro2000 and they failed to make it through the group stages at Euro2004.

Whilst Italy cannot be written off, they are far from reliable and this is a major test for Roberto Donadoni who took over from World Cup winning Coach Marcello Lippi in 2006 and they must be on top of heir game from the first game to progress throug Group C.

Whilst Italy are famed for having a tough defence, the current crop are ageing and this may be a weakness and so it will be down to the forwards to secure success and Luca Toni will be the one to get the goals.
