Poland Euro 2012 Odds

Poland Euro2008Poland have only played in one previous European Championship and have not yet managed to win in the finals. As one of the host nations they have automatically qualified for the finals along with the Ukraine.

Poland are coached by Franciszek Smuda, one of the most experienced coaches in Poland winning several domestic titles. They will be looking to use their home support to their full advantage as they aim to get through the group stages. Poland have been placed in Euro 2012 Group A alongside Greece, Russia and the Czech Republic giving them an excellent chance of progressing.

They have played in numerous friendlies over the past 18 months, with a mixture of results. They have managed to beat the likes of Norway and Argentina and draw with Germany but they have also suffered some poor defeats to Lithuania and Cameroon.

Poland will play Greece in Warsaw on Friday 8th June 2012 in the tournament's opening match. The odds of Poland winning Euro 2012 are around the 50/1 mark.

Key Players

Poland are blessed with two decent goalkeepers in Wojciech Szczesny and Lukasz Fabianski. Lukasz Piszczek, Jakub Blaszczykowski, Robert Lewandowski helped Dortmond win the title last season and are all very effectvie players on their day.
