Portugal Euro 2008 odds

Portugal were unlucky no to win Euro 2004 when they were beaten in the final by Greece. Equally, they will consider themselves as unlucky to have been beaten in the semi final of the 2006 World Cup. Head Coach Felipe Scolari will see Euro 2008 as a great opportunity for the Portuguese to prove that they really are a force in International football and a place in the knockout stages should be assured from Group A. They have a good record in the European Championships and at odds of 7/1 to win Euro 2008 Portugal are likely to give their backers a good run for their money in to the later stages of the competition.

Whilst the Portugese squad has several experienced players, all eyes will be on one man, Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been the best player in World football for the past season.
