Euro 2012 was Sweden's fourth consecutive European Championships. Their best performance came at Euro 92 where they managed to progress through to the semi-final stage. They have managed to qualify for the last four European Championships but have not yet progressed further than they did in their debut run out.
Sweden were knocked out of Euro 2012 after losing their first two games against Ukraine and England. However, they managed to leave the tournament on the high after beating favourites France 2-0 in their final game.

Since the retirement of living legend Henrik Larsson, Sweden have had to rely on their captian Zlatan Ibrahimovic for goals. The controversial striker has scored 28 goals for his country and on his day is one of the most dangerous forwards in the world.
